Abrasive waterjet cutting in Serbia

A waterjet cuts using water and abrasive at high pressure. It is a cold process, so the edge keeps its original properties.

No heat, no hardened edge

There is no heat-affected zone, no hardening at the edge and no discolouration. Accuracy is ±0,1 mm with sharp corners.

Edges are smooth and free of burrs. Parts leave the bed ready for the next operation.

When waterjet cutting in Serbia is the right choice

Two situations call for it. When the material must not be heated, and when the part is too thick for a laser.

Composites, stone, some glass, ceramics and hardened steels all cut cleanly. So does metal up to 150 mm.

Below 40 mm in steel, our laser is usually faster and cheaper. Thick plate then goes on to rolling or certified welding.

Accuracy, kerf and finish

The jet leaves a narrow kerf that widens slightly with thickness. We allow for it in the programme.

Cut faces are matte and even. On thick sections the lower edge shows a faint taper, normal for the process.

Where a machined finish is needed, we leave stock for it. Tell us the finished dimension and we plan the allowance.

Questions about waterjet cutting

Why choose waterjet over laser?

Thickness beyond 40 mm, and materials that must not be heated. The cut leaves no heat-affected zone.

What materials can you cut?

Almost any. Metals, composites, stone, glass and ceramics all cut up to 150 mm.
